Iris Agate — named after the Greek word for rainbow — reveals its magic when sliced thin enough for light to pass through. The stone’s delicate bands naturally diffract light, creating a shifting spectrum of colors that changes with each light source and viewing angle. The thinner the slice, the more vivid and striking the rainbow effect becomes.

This particular specimen, is the second largest in the collection, and one of a few marked by strong quartz crystal growth in the center, with a wide-ranging rainbow  display including the rarer hues of purple and neon greens!
 
Metaphysical Properties:
Rooted in ancient traditions, Iris Agate has long been valued for spiritual communication and meditation. It resonates strongly with the crown, third eye, and throat chakras, and is often considered a stone of inner clarity.
