This particular sphere is one of the largest in the collection. Its rich blue base is accented with multiple flashes of gold and light-reflective flecks, reminiscent of a starry sky. A unique patch of orange tint lends this piece the coveted “bloodshot iolite” designation, a term used for specimens with intense golden and reddish hues.
