Iolite is a captivating variety of Cordierite, named after the Greek word ios, meaning “violet.” This collection hails from India and showcases the stone’s remarkable pleochroism—a property that causes its color to shift between deep blue, violet, and shimmering gold depending on the angle.
 
The Highest Grade of Bloodshot Iolite available; Collectors Grade. While the carving is open to interpretation, the quality of stone is not. A remarkable saturation of fiery oranges and reds make up the bloodshot formation, overlayed with an intense rainbow of reflective sparkles, both front and back. The pendant comes with a black cord, with the carving appearing to have a dragonfly or butterfly at the top, over a lotus blossom at the bottom.

Iolite is closely associated with the Third Eye chakra and is often used in meditation to access deeper insight, inner vision, and intuitive wisdom.
